In our busy world, it is often hard to take a break from our endless to-do lists. But studies have shown that production, creativity, and performance on all levels are enhanced when a midday break is utilized. It is all about being in tune with your body and knowing when it wants to play, rest, create, or rationalize. Taking a break in thinking and analyzing, we can listen to what is happening within, and become in tune with our innate inner wisdom. There is no fixing or solving in the resting mind, but rather a quietness that allows us to open our heart, and this is will ultimately lead you to what you are destined to become.
Is there anything more awe inspiring than a sunset? No matter if you are on the coast or by a mountain range, ending the day by the horizon line is the best way. In ancient practices, the phrase "horizon" was used instead of a formal name for God, source, or spirit, for no matter where in the world you are, there is a horizon that is never ending and ever-present. It is the sentiment that makes you feel both tiny and infinite at the same time. Just as I start the day with gratitude, I end it with gratitude. And giving my offering up to the last rays of light, as we take our rest in the cool velvet Milky Way.
