Our hand-selected Otteson Turquoise pieces have all been named after significant events which happened in the family around their discovery.

This ring hosts a stone mined in the Monte Cristo mountain ranges of Nevada. The Crazy Horse claim was only recently discovered; the family is taking their time carefully opening up the area. While it is already producing beautiful deep blue gems, only a few stones have made it to the market.
Since 1902, the Otteson family based in Western Nevada has hand mined vibrant turquoise veins.

The family produces high-quality cabochons directly from the earth & takes pride in completing all steps from gently excavating to their polished finish.

Turquoise is revered through indigenous traditions to be a stone of great metaphysical power. According to local lore, it is the gateway between Heaven & Earth.
